Our Artisans have spent their life learning and perfecting their craft. Many of which, have been passed down from generation to generation, going back decades. For these Artisans, this isn’t just there job, but a passion, a preservation of the their history and a way from them to share their culture.

However, that doesn’t mean it’s an easy path. Artisans in developing countries are some of the lowest income earners. While their craft is rich in history and culture, it has left many struggling to adapt to today’s modern style and trends.

Which is why Uniquely Handmade was started. We are here to bridge the gap, to help local Artisans create products that not only showcase their culture but appeal to a greater audience outside the tourist industry. Allowing them to grow their businesses, provide from their families and continue doing what they love.

Every item is made entirely by hand, making each piece unique and intrinsically valuable. Each piece is a reflection of the varied artistic skills of the Guatemalan people and powerful history of traditional techniques, patterns and culture, creating an expression of fierce beauty and artistry.
